Stepping Into Tomorrow:
A Day with PwC

Mission & Purpose
The field trip to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was part of a broader initiative by Junior Achievement (JA) of Tampa Bay to connect students with real-world professional experiences. JA's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by providing hands-on programs focused on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. Through partnerships with organizations like PwC, JA offers students the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into various career paths and the skills required to thrive in today's workforce.
PwC has been a longstanding partner of Junior Achievement, supporting various programs and initiatives aimed at youth development. In addition to hosting field trips and workshops, PwC employees actively volunteer their time and expertise to mentor students, participate in panel discussions, and lead interactive activities that enhance students' understanding of the professional world.

What We Learned
Our trip to PwC taught us that success comes in many forms, and there’s no one path to get there. The panel discussion showed us the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning. We gained practical skills, like how to build a professional LinkedIn profile, and learned how to network confidently during the bingo activity. Touring the office gave us a real sense of corporate culture and what a professional environment looks like. Overall, the experience inspired us to think more about our futures and how to start preparing for them now.

Acknowledgements
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay for organizing this valuable experience and to PwC for hosting us. Their commitment to providing students with real-world exposure to the professional world is greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the PwC employees who shared their time, knowledge, and career insights with us during the panel discussion and throughout the day. We also appreciate the opportunity to interact with students from other high schools, which broadened our perspectives and enriched our experience. Finally, we thank our school’s leadership and faculty for supporting this field trip and encouraging our growth beyond the classroom.
